Hapo Group Welcomes Five Software Development Interns Through Capaciti Partnership
News · September 2026
This week, Hapo Group welcomed five new software development interns into the group, continuing its partnership with Capaciti — the South African digital skills organisation known for training and placing previously unemployed youth into real technology careers.
Capaciti's model has become one of the more credible bridges between South Africa's digital skills gap and the country's youth unemployment rate: rather than a classroom-only qualification, its programme combines structured technical training with real workplace placement, so participants graduate with production experience, not just a certificate.
For Hapo Group, the partnership fits squarely inside how the group thinks about growth. The same connected-ecosystem model that lets Hapo Technology, Hapo Cloud and the rest of the group's companies share infrastructure and client relationships also gives interns something rare in an internship programme: exposure to more than one part of a technology business, from enterprise B2B software through to cloud infrastructure and Vision AI.
It's also a practical expression of Hapo's stated commitment to South African manufacturing and job creation. Talent pipelines don't build themselves, and partnerships like this one are how a group aiming for serious scale makes sure it isn't competing for scarce senior talent alone in a few years' time — it's helping create more of it now.
